A Cool Educational Cold Compress for the Kids

I came across this great idea on Pinterest for giving kids a medium to practice their writing their letters, numbers, shapes, etc.

Buy some cheap hair gel, (you can find some at the dollar store), put it in a gallon sized ziploc bag. Add food coloring, glitter and/or confetti, seal and mix. Let your child choose the add-ins!

I also found that you can put it in the fridge for a fun cold compress. The bag molds around your child's bumped elbow or fevered head.  If it is too cold for your child, wrap it with a cloth napkin as a buffer.

Your child will love to use this compress since they personalized and helped to make it!
